I've got some stuff in mind already, just wanted to get the design down tonight.

MUST READ BY ALL WHO VIST OR BECOME A CITIZEN
Hi Everyone,
This Blog is a resurrection of a long running thread that was Created by Me (Cartuneman/Cleatus/ John) and The Notorious Vic Perry (Dirty Rotten Scoundral) on the Great Animation Forums (see Link).
My intentions for this Blog is to recreate a on line interactive Comic strip for everyone. All of us that participate have tons of freinds and cohorts that come from many different art forums throughout the net and all are welcome to visit and become a viable member of this blog. But alass there are rules about "Roosterpoot", If there were no rules it would be chaos!
The first thing for everyone is anyone may comment on any picture posted in this blog but to post a Pic you must become a member. To do so is easy, first e-mail me (cartuneman85@yahoo.com) with your e-mail address that you will log into roosterpoot with and I will send You an invite. Once you recieve the invite you must get a googel account and then accept the invite and then within a day I will authorize you to post. Once you are Authorized you may post your pics to this blog. this means that you just became a citizen of Roosterpoot and with that brings great Responsability. If found of an infraction your privlages will be revoked and you will be thrown in the Pokey until you redeem yourself. If you are found to be a spamer you will be Hung! no questions asked. All new members Must create their own Character and submitt it to me (as soon as you can). I will be creating a Citizen list with pics of each of our characters so when anyone visits they can see who lives here. (I'd like to get a short Bio from all citizens to go with your character.) There is no limit to how many characters you want to create.
Lets all grow this into something really great.
I also would like to create an award system for the great additions and or characters that participate. (anyone interested in helping with this contact me please)
None of us know where this story will go because it is add lib all the way. The faster you reply with a pic means you lead the story in a direction. Please allow others to post and add to the story before you want it to change direction. If you visit the old thread at Animation forums titled "I'm calling you out Vic" in the art gallery section you will see how the original was played. If your character is killed for some odd reason in the blog don't worry cartoon characters actually can't be killed they always come back ahahahahaha! and if you don't post in a long time not to worry once a citizen always a citizen of the great little town of roosterpoot.
Oh one other thing.....If you want to use or post copyrighted art (characters or likeness) from other artist you must post recognition of said copyrights and recognize the original artist. I don't want to get anyone in trouble.
Thats about all I can think of now. I'm sure someone else has ideas I'm not thinking of but the ruels are simple and flexable so have fun!

Ha-Ha!!! Love it. Great looking horse teeth! It will be endless fun running scared with you.
hahahahahaha Hiram it is! Thanks for the bio and I'll add him to the character list.
Thanks fellas! I like the overall look but it still needs refining. Now that I look at it after a night's sleep it looks a little too much like a cow for me... Might have to tone the mouth down a bit or contour his body more like a horse. I like the over exaggerated houth so I'll play with the body first.
John I gotta thank you for your version of Hiram as well. I tried to avoid just copying what you did, but I definitely used it for reference on a number of places. You've definitely got a great eye for suggesting shapes with lines. I got a new appreciation for that when I tried the Henry Hawk/Foghorn Leghorn pic. Anyway, that pic & even more so your pic of Hiram were extremely helpful, so thanks again. :)
Hey pat when I get home tonight.....and near a scanner hahaha if you don't mind I'll send you some examples of what you can do to help you with your design of Hiram. I know as an artist as we all do when you do decide on a character that it will morph over time because we tend to refine what we draw all the time. Great example is look at Garfield the cat. When he was first created he looked nothing of what he looks like today. you can even see suttle changes in Popeye from his first episodes to what people know him as in any media today. Mind you even Mickey Mouse changed dramaticly even his name hahahahaha
all I'd like to do is give you some Ideas that you can work with to build upon. It's totally up to you my freind.
I'd love to see what ya come up with. I just refined him a bit more & made another post. Not sure that I'm committed to the color scheme I used, but I think the overall shape is improved.
